Practice, Practice, Practice

Practice, Practice, Practice

Despite innate differences, our eventual level of success is markedly affected by training and practice.  Practicing changes the physical wiring of our brains to support exceptional performance.

Although it is a challenge to social distance ourselves, we have been given an opportunity to become a little better.  What can you be doing to better yourself?  What new skill can you begin to learn?

What topic have you always wanted to know more about?  Count backwards 5-4-3-2-1 and push yourself to take the first step.  The 5 Second Rule, by Mel Robbins, helps you interrupt your default thinking and allows you to start taking control.  I have taken on the task of setting aside 45 minutes each day to read.  Initially I found myself losing focus, falling asleep, and drinking way too much coffee.  However, as I continue to push myself to read, I have discovered many new topics and authors that have increased my appetite to learn more.

May you continue to flourish!
